A Manifesto Autonomous.

We refuse to be beholden to the cultural tomb that pop/rock/punk has become. The sex pistols and the ramones are the beatles and rolling stones are black flag and minor threat are bob dylan and the doors are sonic youth and fugazi are guns and roses and metallica are crass and discharge. we will glean from the past but will not be indebted to it. we forge our weapons with the tools of history and the rancor of today.

The banner we wave of autonomy will be one of collaboration. Artistic, emotional, and ephemeral.

Performance will be just that. Not solely soapbox or platform. Not solely catharsis or solipsism. As a showcase for the ideas created through the collaborative processes performances will neither be defining of, nor be defined by, us.

Uniformity is to be a symbol of cohesion. It is not a mark of exclusion or exclusivity. It is a visual reminder and identifier of those persons who have contributed to the performance or artist creation.

Our politics are each our own. Though as a unit we will express a representation of individual ideas and beliefs through a singular means, this is only a representation of a loose collection of personal stances. No one idea belongs to all, all do not subscribe to each specific idea.

A measure of lightheartedness and frivolity will always be applied to all that we do. While nothing is sacred, nothing is dire.

All decisions are to be contradicted. All proclamations to be reversed. If there was to be a god or master, hypocrisy would be its name.

This is growth and evolution. This is destruction and ruination. This is experience.

 this is not absolvement

we care because we don't. We don't because we do.

what we want is who we are.
