A Change of Pace.

We'd like to announce the newest musical lineup of Autonomy. Our next configuration will have Taylor and John switching instruments. For those of you who might not know, both Taylor and John are amazing multi-instrumentalists who could easily be one-man-bands if they so wanted. We are rather excited for this change because both of them will bring a rather unique outlook to the songs we have been playing and to the process of writing new songs. This has been the first musical project where Taylor has played guitar and one of the few projects ever where John has played drums. Their talent is so immense that it's easy to forget that they've been winging it all along.

Because of this we will not be playing any shows until mid-January of next year. We are, however, writing a great deal at a rather fast pace and are hoping to have much completely new material to perform at that time.

Upcoming Audio Release.

We are happy to announce that we will have a new 2 song 7" released soon by our good friend Pete Shaw of Let's Pretend Records. The two songs were recorded earlier this summer and are the first songs to feature our "new" singers Monica and Nick. Things are moving rather fast with this and the record should be out by the end of the year. Along with that Let's Pretend will also be release a cassette version of our LP.

A Few Kind Words.

AUTONOMY: Hailing from Carbondale with a vengeance, this is a band that clearly has an agenda, even if it might take the hindsight of the history books to spell it out for us down the line. They are the very real deal, and their live experience is an assault on all senses that will ultimately leave your body/mind obliterated and replaced with a new flesh that is ready to join the cult. - apoprecords.com

Upcoming Release.

After many ups and downs concerning this project, we're glad to announce that we will be definitely be doing a split 12" with Boston's No Sir I Won't. We're quite excited by this as the No Sir I Won't demo is completely amazing. It also doesn't hurt that we did a few shows on our last East Coast tour with Dan's inspiring other band, Surrender.

The record is going to be coming out on the wonderful Cut The Cord That... Records from Germany. They are a wonderful label who put out great music by great people: Neon Piss, Street Eaters, and 1981.

We are currently working on writing and arranging the songs for this release, and hope to have them recorded within the next two months, or so.

New Record Now Available.

If we were to look for an upside to our Midwest tour being cancelled it is that there are now limited edition "tour" test pressing editions of our "The Art of Work in the Age of Digital Reproduction" LP that will be made available to order online, or at our live shows. 50 of these were made, in hopes to have them ready for our aborted tour. The covers are handscreened with original art by our close friend, and screenprinting collaborator, Jared Davey.

Social Collapse! Records will be putting 10 copies online for sale tomorrow around 5 PM Central time. They will be $12 plus shipping.

We will have 20 copies for sale at our live shows. Check in with Dirt Cult Records as well, as they have a few copies they might be selling as well.

Upcoming Releases, Performances, and General Information.

Our first LP, "The Art Of Work In The Age Of Digital Reproduction" is currently at the record pressing plant as we speak. We should hopefully have them within a a month or so. Much thanks to Dirt Cult Records from Las Cruces, NM and Social Collapse! Records for helping put this record out.

The 4-way 12" split on Chicago's Southkore Records with Population, Cemetery, and Staring Problem is currently being mastered. It should be available by the end of summer.

In disappointing news, we have scrapped the split 12" between us and Staring Problem. In uplifting news it looks very much like we will instead be doing a split 12" with New Flesh, from Oakland, CA for Cut The Cord That... Records from Kiel, Germany. Plans are also being made for a European tour next year.

We are currently in the process of booking a July tour of the Midwest. More details on that as the dates and towns get confirmed.

We would also like to announce the addition of filmmaker Husni Akishu who will begin making and projecting films for our live performances beginning on July 1st. His work is nothing short of interesting and capivating to watch.

There are also a few changes in our upcoming shows...

A Rush of News.

1: We would like to announce the departure of Andrew Sax from Autonomy. Andrew has, since the beginning, been an important and valued member of the group. He has expressed his desire to step away from the pressures and demands that come with being a part of Autonomy. We wish him nothing but the very best in whatever he decides to do next.

2: Joining the fold will be our very close friend Nick O'Neal. We are all incredibly excited that he has decided to join us and cannot wait to continue making music with his added (mind blowing) talent and energy.

3: We have also completed mixing on our two songs to be included on the 4-way split with Staring Problem, Population, and Cemetery that will be released within the next few months on Southkore Records. These tracks are currently available to listen to on our bandcamp page.

4: We have also nearly completed mixing on the songs that will comprise our first LP. The record will be released this summer through a joint effort by both Dirt Cult Records and Social Collapse! Records. It will hopefully be available in time for our tour of the midwest in July.
